Martha Dirton, an Airmen assigned to the 175th Intelligence Squadron, Maryland Air National Guard, sands a metal fence August 8, 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia for a volunteer event organized to strengthen community relations with Estonian citizens. The event took place during a flying training deployment and is funded by the European Reassurance Initiative in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The U.S. Air Force’s forward presence in Europe allows the U.S. to work with allies and partners to develop and improve ready air forces capable of maintaining regional security.
